Yacht Photo Studio is the photography and film studio of Gabriele Sotgiu and Elvira Ivanova. Since 2018, we have been working together, combining photography and filmmaking to create professional visual content for yachts and superyachts.
We work directly with yacht brokers, shipyards, charter companies, yacht managers and owners, following each project from the initial planning to the final delivery. Our work takes us throughout the Mediterranean and beyond, and we regularly travel to meet the yacht wherever the production is required.
Gabriele Sotgiu — Yacht Photographer
I am a professional photographer specialising in yachts, architecture and interiors. My background in photography and visual communication, combined with a strong interest in architecture and geometry, has deeply influenced the way I approach composition and create images.
I began my career in graphic design before realising that photography was the language that best suited the way I wanted to communicate. I initially focused on architecture and interiors, and since 2009 I have been working in the yacht and superyacht industry, gradually developing a photographic approach specifically tailored to the yachting world.
My experience in architectural photography continues to influence my work today. I see a yacht as a combination of spaces, proportions, light, materials and craftsmanship. My aim is to create images that showcase not only the yacht itself, but also the design, architecture and craftsmanship behind each project.

Elvira Ivanova — Yacht Videographer
My background is in communication, where I started working with social media, visual identity and content creation. After marrying Gabriele in 2018, we decided to build a professional path together. I gradually moved towards filmmaking, turning my experience in communication into a new way of telling stories through moving images.
The sea has become an important part of both my life and my work. I love swimming, especially early in the morning when everything is still quiet, and I have always been drawn to elegance, design and craftsmanship. Yachts naturally bring these elements together, from the choice of materials and interiors to the small details that give each yacht its own character.
Today I focus mainly on film production at Yacht Photo Studio. I work with camera movement, atmosphere and rhythm, with the aim of showing not only the spaces of a yacht, but also what it feels like to experience them.
